Asbestos Management Surveys

Previously referred to as Type 1 and Type 2 Asbestos Surveys, asbestos management surveys are undertaken to ascertain whether asbestos is present in a building, and involve taking samples of suspect materials and assessing the risk.

The results will determine the course of action to be taken to ensure your business complies with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.

Type 3 Asbestos Surveys have also now been replaced by Asbestos Refurbishment or Demolition Surveys.

This type of survey is required prior to all major refurbishment or demolition work with the aim to locate all asbestos containing materials in the building. These can then be removed prior to other works beginning for the safety of all workers and to ensure you are legally compliant.
