Who are BLS Asbestos Ltd?

We are an asbestos removal company that specialise in removing licensable asbestos, which is the most dangerous type of asbestos to work on, due to the intensity and volume of asbestos fibres that can be present in the close atmosphere. Read more about licensable asbestos here.

Work on licensable asbestos requires a licensed contractor to remove it safely.

We are licensed to carry this work out and hold the following -

  • A 3-year licence (expires 9 September 2025) granted by the Health and Safety Executive to work with asbestos insulation and asbestos insulation board for the purpose of removal (licence number 991904287).
  • A licence to transport hazardous waste, awarded by the Environment Agency, which allows us to safely transport and dispose of the asbestos once removed. Our Waste Carriers Registration Number is CBDU180277.

Asbestos can be found in many places around a property. Areas where licensable asbestos can be found, are -

  • Sprayed on coatings on ceilings, walls and floors
  • Loose fill insulation
  • Pipe lagging
  • Asbestos insulation board (AIB)

As well as the above, asbestos containing materials can also be found in -

  • Window and door panels
  • Floor and ceiling tiles
  • Asbestos cement
  • Toilet cisterns

The above lists aren't extensive but do highlight how widespread asbestos containing materials can be across a property.

Understanding what asbestos looks like can be difficult, unless you are specially trained like our team is. If you suspect that you have asbestos at your property in Cranwell then get in contact with us. We can carry out an asbestos survey and if the survey shows asbestos fibres are present then we can create and execute a plan for its removal, around the needs of your business or project.
